The effect is well
known to most magicians. You take a salt cellar and pour some salt
into your clenched fist. You open your hand and the salt has vanished
and then you reach into the air close your hand and then suddenly and
seemingly never ending stream of salt pours out of your previously
empty hand.

Pour gimmick is completely different. You start clean and end
clean and can show both hands empty at the beginning and the end of
the effect.

This amazing bell
was invented by my old friend Roy van Dyke. Roy is a very
clever comedy magician and was famous for his balloon act.
I don’t really
want to part with the one that has just arrived as I have had a lot of
fun with it but I can’t keep everything that appeals to me ….

Based on and inspired by a Basil
Horwitz routine entitled Challenge Duplication ESP. Steve
loved the original effect but found that there were certain
elements of the effect that he felt could be improved. The effect
was good to start with but now with the Steve Cook handling and
additions it is near brilliant.
Here is some amazing 1920’s film footage capturing
street magicians at work with some of the great Indian classics that
are so rarely seen by Westerners.
Much of the material on the DVD (it is accompanied by

These
devices are hard to locate and highly expensive and I believe that the
one that I offer is the least expensive of all yet more efficient.

The magician shows a
card inside a window envelope which has been placed there "in case of
an emergency." The envelope is placed aside, but in full view of the
audience. A card is selected and signed and returned to the pack. The
magician has some difficulty in locating the card, so finally he draws
attention to the card in the envelope. It can still be seen clearly
through the window of the envelope. The card is visibly removed from
the envelope and, believe it or not, turns out to be the signed
selection.
HEADLINER by Les
Johnson is one of the most ingenious newspaper headline prediction
effects I have ever seen in my life. The sealed window envelope
containing the pre-written prediction is not switched and the envelope
is opened and nothing extra put inside. I think this is brilliant!
